Etiquette Trainers: Get Credentialed

 
A credential from The Society of Certified Etiquette Trainers is a powerful, valuable way to let the public know that you are a step above other etiquette trainers, that you adhere to the strictest code of ethics and that you professional and competent in all of your dealings. We offer two credentials for Etiquette Trainers certified through accredited training organizations. These credentials assure the public that you have met certain common standards, agree to follow our Code of Ethics, and continue to develop your competencies.

Credential #1: Practicing Certified Etiquette Trainer Credential (PCET).
This credential is for the practicing etiquette trainer. To receive this credential you must send us the following documents:
  • Your name, address, phone number, email address, and - if you have them - linkedin, Facebook page, and website address.
  • The name of all etiquette certifications you have received, including the organization name, contact name from the organization, and contact information for that organization.
  • Proof of at least one certification in the form of a copy of your certificate or a letter from the organization where you were trained.
  • Two letters of reference from other etiquette trainers or clients attesting to your professionalism and knowledge of the etiquette field. Include the contact information of the individuals writing the letter.
  • A signed statement indicating that you have read and understood, and agree to follow the Society of Certified Etiquette Trainers Code of Ethics and Pledge.
  • A check for made payable to The Society of Certified Etiquette Trainers in the amount of: a. $110 for non-members b. $79 for members
  • Mail your application and payment to: The Society of Certified Etiquette Trainers, Attn: Credentialing, 1088 Mallard Marsh Drive, Osprey, FL, 34229
  • This Credential is good for one year and is renewable annually for $50 plus proof (in the form of a log that you keep) that you have provided at least 15 etiquette teaching hours during the previous year.
Credential #2: Master Certified Etiquette Trainer Credential.
This credential is for the master etiquette trainer who has significant experience training etiquette to the public. To receive this credential you must send us the following documents:
  • All of the documents for the Practicing Certified Etiquette Trainer Credential.
  • A log showing 100 etiquette teaching hours. The log should include the date you conducted each training program, how many hours the training lasted, how many people were in attendance, and where the training took place.
  • Letters of reference from 5 clients (3 if you already have your Professional Certified Etiquette Trainer Credential), including their contact information.
  • A check for made payable to The Society of Certified Etiquette Trainers in the amount of: a. $250 for non-members b. $179 for members
  • Mail your application and payment to: The Society of Certified Etiquette Trainers, Attn: Credentialing, 1088 Mallard Marsh Drive, Osprey, FL, 34229
  • This Credential is good for one year and is renewable annually for $50 plus proof (in the form of a log) that you have logged at least 50 teaching hours during the previous year.
We will contact you with any questions about your application. Please allow 4-6 weeks for review of your application. Assuming that your application is approved, you receive an 11 X 8.5" Certificate, hand-printed by a calligrapher and with a beautiful Society of Certified Etiquette Trainers embossed foil seal, attesting to your credential, as well as a logo you can use on your website to show the public that you are credentialed. We reserve the right to refuse any applicant for any reason. If you are rejected we will refund your money in full.
